Advertising Awards a HUGE success!
May 7, 2009—The Black Hills Advertising Federation presented its 2009 Black Hills Advertising Awards for advertising creative excellence on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the RamkotaConvention Center. This annual dinner and awards presentation was attended by over 140 individuals of the local marketing and advertising community.
Of the entries submitted into competition, 15 gold winners and 25 silver winners were presented. Entries were judged based on four criteria: originality, creativity, composition, and end result. The Best of Show, dubbed the Tommy, was presented to Message for their Cornerstone Mission Bird and Bison Banquet video.
Dan and Kathy Simpson from Simpson’s Printing were awarded the Silver Medal Award, recognizing men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and have been active in furthering the industry's standards. The award is considered by the American Advertising Federation and the Black Hills Advertising Federation as the highest honor bestowed upon a practitioner by his/her peers.
On behalf of the Black Hills Advertising Board of Directors, we want to thank everyone who submitted entries, came to the event and most of all, those that sponsored the event to make it happen!
