Dan & Kathy Simpson 2009 Silver Medal recipients

With over 40 years in the printing business, Dan and Kathy Simpson have made enormous contributions to the advertising and marketing industry and the Rapid City community where they have made their home. It is their entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and generosity that has earned them the 2009 Black Hills Advertising Federation Silver Medal Award. Their focus on superior customer service, competitive pricing, and cutting-edge technology has helped grow Simpson’s Creative Color Printing, where they are co-owners.

Dan and Kathy Simpson’s devotion to the Rapid City community is admirable. They provide quality printing for many non-profit organizations and events, including the Black Hills Workshop Gala, United Way, Youth and Family Services, Hills Alive, Mayfest, Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome, Boys Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills, just to name a few. They have also earned accolades for their business acumen. They are recipients of the Tom Didier Family Business of the Year in 2000 as well as the 2008 South Dakota Family Owned Business of the Year and 2008 Jeffrey Butland Family Owned Business of the Year.

The prestigious Silver Medal Award is given to a member in the community that has made outstanding contributions to advertising and has been active in furthering the industry’s standards. The Silver Medal Award is considered by the American Advertising Federation and the Black Hills Advertising Federation as the highest honor to be bestowed upon a practitioner by his/her peers.
